The WEAIM community center will help women turn their industrial/manufacturing enterprises into profitable, market-ready business. The women in manufacturing will gain a powerful connection to a broad network of resources and an ally who can help them navigate the path to commercialization. Upon evaluation of model & selection through WEAIM mentor panel, women may be invited to enter full-time incubation at WEAIM
The procedure may include
Establishing partnerships or profit sharing modules depending on potential of the manufactured products,
scope and stage of the manufacturing unit/company
WEAIM incubator will serve as an educational resource and critical path to women manufactured
products commercialization for the region’s women manufacturers and women industrial organizations
Manufacturing products are evaluated on a case-by-case basis but possible options include:
Selective Products of women manufacturing also start-ups enrolled in WEAIM for customer/market validation
Experts from 10 plus industrial fields will nurture Women become manufacturers or will offer
mentorship to existing women manufacturers to scale up to the next level

Backdrop/Need :
Our country’s manufacturing share is still only 16 % of the total GDP and women are
almost 50% by population, in this context there is a need to have gender specific
,inclusive approach to nurture women to become manufactures right from home
entrepreneur level till the industrial community level to add on organically to the
increase of GDP Share.
In context of above WE AIM (Womenergy Association of Incubators in
Manufacturing) offers a solution i.e. START IT SCALE IT CELL as a project on pilot
basis before the establishment of permanent institution. The pilot module shall be
operational in Hyderabad city initially to support both aspiring women entrepreneurs
and existing women entrepreneurs from states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Project Duration: 1 year (pilot 2019 to 2020)
Project Goal: Incubating 100 manufacturing start-ups by women
Supporting 25 Scale ups for existing women manufacturing units
WE AIM through START IT - SCALE IT CELL works to support entrepreneurial ideas
at nascent stage, by women, to help them start up and achieve sustainability.
We also facilitate acceleration of the existing manufacturing enterprises, enabling
them with strategy -mentoring -funding (attracting investors to scale up).
Much before we speak of ease of doing business for women entrepreneurs, currently
in our state and country, majority women are seeking support even for how to start a
manufacturing business, In such a scenario gender specific start up cell shall work
on the root challenges of the aspiring women entrepreneurs
WEAIM will extend support in several modalities - innovation stage, process
mentorship, selection of machinery, market feasibility research, business model,
revenue model, govt .sector schemes linkage e.tc.
